Mary Wilber

Funeral services for Mary Ellen York Wilber, age 84 of Pollock, will be held at 11 AM Saturday, January 14, 2012 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Floyd Funderburk officiating. Interment will follow at Hargrove Cemetery in Kelly. Visitation will be Saturday morning at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia from 10 AM until time of service. Mrs. Wilber, age 84, was born in Rosebero, NC on December 12, 1927 of the union of Walter T. York and Nannie Adkins York. Her family moved to Fayetteville, NC where she remained until she married E.T. Wilber in 1948. She moved from NC to LA in 1998 and lived there until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Wilber in 1984, son, Marvin T. Wilber in 1994, her dad in 1930, her step-dad, Marvin Holt in 1972, her sister, Louise in 1996, her mother in 1997 and her daughter-in-law, Jeanette Wilber in 2008. Survivors include her son, Peter Wilber of Seldovia, Alaska, four grandsons: Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wilber of Anacoco, LA, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wilber of Pollock, LA, Mr. and Mrs. Travis Wilber of Bentonville, AR and Mr. Brenden Wilber of Seattle, WA, ten great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and nephew, Donald Jones of Folkston, GA. Pallbearers will be Mike Wilber, Charles Wilber, Travis Wilber, Tommy Wilber, Blake Wilber and Karson Kelly.
