Mary Angelyn Thomas

Mary Angelyn Thomas went to her heavenly home July 26, 2020 surrounded by those who loved her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was born to the union of her parents, Lawrence and Edith Holmes on October 22, 1953 in Urania, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Nancy Holmes. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Everal (Buddy) Thomas; sons: Ken Volentine (Diane), Michael Volentine (Kathi); daughters: Tonya Shelton (Paul), Angie Ernst; step-daughters: Romona Bell (Mike), Leslie Sarver; two brothers: Larry Holmes (Hilma) and Danny Holmes (Amanda); two sisters: Linda Weaver and Wanda Coleman, twenty-one grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Mary loved nothing more than spending time with her family, doing arts, crafting, working puzzles, and baking. Memorial services will be at the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home in Olla, Louisiana, Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 2:00 PM with Bro. Ford Pickering officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service at 2:00.
