Mary Ross

Funeral services for Ms. Mary Elizabeth Ross, age 49 of Columbia, will be held at 2 PM Saturday, March 26, 2011 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Waymon Smith officiating and soloist, Arthur Clark. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Columbia. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 PM to 9 PM at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia. The sun rose for Mary Beth on May 31, 1961 and the sunset on March 24, 2011. Everyone who knew Mary Beth loved her. She was preceded in death by her foster mother; Pearl Green. Survivors include her foster sisters; Frances Williams and Dorothy "Lillie B,"her family at the Columbia State School, her housemates: Betty Jean Campbell and Mamie Hargrove, her special friend; Wayne Bishop and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Floyd Odice, Steve May, Devon Williams, Oby Meredith, Preston Strange and Ron Rogers.
