Funeral Services for Mary Brown will be held 10:00 AM, December 21, 2024 at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Jack McKeithen officiating and interment following at Welcome Home Cemetery, under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held December 21, 2024 from 8:00 AM until time of service at 10:00.

Mary Catherine Welch Brown was born in Newellton Louisiana to the union of her parents, Ross Welch and Ollie Catherine Reeves Welch and passed from this life December 12, 2024 at Citizens Medical Center. 

Mary was a loving mother who enjoyed time spent with her family. She loved cooking, doing jig saw puzzles, word search puzzles, fishing, and sewing. She was happy doing whatever she was doing. Mary had a great sense of humor, and left lots of memories to be cherished.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby Brown; two brothers, GW Welch and Sammy Welch; sister, Lorene Hoover; grandson, Reed Brown; granddaughter, Tabitha Brown. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Terry Max Brown, Allen Brown (Tami); daughter, Salley Marcantel (Strat); brother, Charlie Ross (Dianne); sister, Belua Mae Goodwin; grandchildren, Jeremy Brown (Whitney Nicole), Zach Brown (Whitney), Ally Brown (Cameron Corley), Justin Marcantel; great-grandchildren, Zeek Brown, Mason Brown, and Reed Brown.
