Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Catherine Carr, age 80 of Kelly, LA will be held 10:00 am Monday December 21, 2015 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home . Visitation will be on Sunday at the funeral home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Burial will be at the Fellowship Cemetery west of Columbia. Mrs. Carr was born on January 28, 1935 to the union of her parents James Harrison Arnold and Juanita Ezell Arnold and she passed from this life on Saturday December 19, 2015 at the Jena Nursing and Rehab Center following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her husband Ervin Lee Carr, by her grandson Jeff Langley, and by three brothers: Buck and Pop Arnold and Jimmy Ballard. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witness in Olla, LA. Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and nothing in life made her happier than to give to others. She will be sorely missed. Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are her children: her son: Dan Carr and wife Tammy of Kelly, three daughters: Jane Flores and husband Gary of Hebert, Peggy Rhodes and husband Jack of Bayminette, Alabama and Alice Braddock and husband Mark of Grayson; her brothers: Odelle Ballard of Brookhaven, MS; James Harrison Arnold, JR of Newellton and William Curtis Arnold of Gretna; her sisters: Bobbie McClain of Newellton, Betty Bird of El Dorado, Shirley Garner of Tallulah, Sadie Britt of Brookhaven, MS and Linda and Dottie; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
