Martha Sue Lindsey

Services for Martha Sue Lindsey will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday, September 26, 2022, at the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home, in Columbia, LA with Bro. Elzie Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery, under the direction of Riser and Son. Visitation will be held Monday, September 26, 2022, from 2:00 PM until the service starts at 4:00 PM.

Martha "Sue" Lindsey was born in Monroe LA, on September 11, 1954, to the union of her parents, Louie Andrew Lindsey and Tressie Adele Crain Lindsey, and she passed from this life peacefully September 23, 2022, at Autumn Leaves Nursing Home in Winfield LA.  Sue loved her family, and fellowshipping with others. She enjoyed drinking coffee, looking at beautiful flowers, and just sitting around watching the birds and dogs playing around outside. Sue enjoyed playing games on her tablet, but her favorite thing to do was to go play bingo.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Donald and Jimmy Lindsey, and her sister, Faye Goodwin. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Carl Gatlin and Michael Gatlin; daughter Susanne Gatlin; brother Coy Lindsey (Billie); sisters: Kay Lindsey and Renee King (Robert); grandchildren Crystal Corbitt (Taylor), Amy (Taylor), Dugan Gatlin; great-grandchildren Christian Corbitt, Zaiden Clay, Allie Clay, and Taylon Clay.

Pallbearers will include Chris Lindsey, Cody Lindsey, Zachary Lindsey, Jimmy Lindsey, Josh Brown, Kenneth Woodruff, and David Joel.
