Funeral services for Mark Elliott Lindsey, age 55, of Olla, will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Rosefield Baptist Church with Bro. Johnnie Phillips and Bro. Ricky Gresham officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-9 PM at the church. Interment will follow at the Rosefield Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Mark was born on November 5, 1955 to James Watson and Francis Lindsey in Fort Carson ,CO and he passed from this life on October 22, 2011 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. He was a Production Field Supervisor. He was employed by various oil companies throughout his career. He was currently employed by Lime Rock Resources. He graduated from Franklin County High School where he played baseball and football. He attended college at Murray State in Kentucky where he played football. He was a member of Rosefield Baptist Church. He was a member of Caldwell Country Club where he loved to play golf with his many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Marshall and Kate Elliott of Olla; J.A. and Mirva Lindsey of Olla. He is survived by wife of 27 years: Connie Lindsey of Olla; two sons: Joshua Elliott Lindsey and his wife Rae of Summerville; Michael Seth Lindsey of Olla; his parents: James Watson and Francis Lindsey of Lafayette; two brothers: Kirby Lindsey and his wife Joan of Destin, FL; Greg Lindsey and his wife Karen of Corpus Christi, TX; one niece: Zoey Ainsworth; five nephews: Ethan Ainsworth, Jackson Lindsey, Grant Lindsey, Kellen Lindsey, and Ian Lindsey; his dog: Midnight. Pallbearers will be Micah Lindsey, Scott Lindsey, Steve Lindsey, Joe Cruse, Brandon Martin, and Gary Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ray Duke, Blake Sims, Bruce Williams, Leon Etheridge, Ken Jackson and his golfing friends at Caldwell Country Club.
