Marion Michael Hillman

Funeral services for Marion Michael "Mickey" Hillman, age 71 of Grayson, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 5, 2022, from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia with Bro. Tim Lasiter officiating. Interment will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery, Clarks. The family will have a visitation at the funeral home on Friday, February 4, 2022, from 5 PM until 8 PM.

Mickey Hillman was born June 28, 1950 in Houston, TX and he passed away February 2, 2022 in West Monroe, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaines Richard Hillman and Mable Philley Hillman. He worked for many years as a pipeliner but the last 15 years he spent at T&T Logging. He loved working there and the people he worked with. He took pride in working hard whether on the job or when he was out keeping up his homeplace. He raised cows and loved taking care of them. Mickey was an outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. Everything he did was for his family, to take care of them in the best way he could. Mickey was the best of the best when it came to being a husband and father. His family could not have ever asked for more. He loved them and loved life. Mickey was loved beyond measure and will be missed by all his many friends but especially by his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 51 years, Mary Lou Diffie Hillman; son, Thomas Michael Hillman; daughter, Renee Hillman Kincaid (David); his brother, Butch Marcelli (Lisa) of Lewisburg, TN; grandchildren: Haley Nicole Ellerbe and Samuel Cole Ellerbe (Mallory); great-granddaughter, Raeghan Elise Ellerbe; and a special friend, Clint Warner.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeffery Lasiter, Justin Lasiter, Chad Jackson, Chris Morrow, Bob Gregory, and Bill Owens. Honorary pallbearers are Butch Marcelli, Clint Warner, Huey Gough, Ayron McGuire, Flukey Braddock, and Curtis Richey.
