Funeral services for Marie Bonnette Tarver age 89 of Columbia will be held 10am Saturday August 29,2009 from the Columbia Chapel of Riser Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Pearson officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery at Clarks. Visitation will be Friday evening at the funeral home from 4PM to 8PM. Marie Bonnette Tarver was born on September 30, 1919 in Winn Parish to the union of her parents, the late Bill E. and Mittie Belle (Bundrick) Bonnette. She passed from this life on Saturday August 22, 2009 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents , and by her husband Homer Tarver , and by her son Delano Tarver. She was also preceded by her siblings Eunice Cure, Vertie VanderSchoor, Mary Feazelle, Doyle Bonnette, and Billy James Bonnette. She was a member of the Grayson Baptist Church . Survivors include: daughter-in-law, Elke Tarver of Dallas, her grand daughters: Lane Johnson and husband David of Beaufort, NC and Cindy Schuster of Dallas and five nieces: Jacqueline Wise of Winnfield, Mary Ann Pepper, Denham Springs, Maxine Leek, Tallahassee,FL, Patsy Zerr, Yakima,WA, and Charlene Hitchcock, Yakima,WA .
