Margaret Roberts

Margaret Sanders Roberts (Miss Margaret) died Tuesday, July 5th in her home, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday July 9th at the Woolen Lake Church of God in Hebert. Rev. Johnny Goodman, Rev. Michael Whitman, and Rev. Marvin Tabora will be officiating the service. Margaret was born on April 16, 1942 to Lucille Browder Evans and Ottis Warren Evans of Lake Providence. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold Roberts, her daughter Sharmayne Sanders, and a sister Kathy Sears. She is survived by her son Mike Sanders, two sisters, eight brothers, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, who will remember her with love and will miss her dearly. Miss Margaret was a Veteran of the United States Marines, and was an active member of the Calvary Tabernacle Assembly of God at Grayson. She was most recently employed by J & K Drug in Columbia, and prior to that she worked for Caldwell Memorial Hospital, Caldwell Home Health, and the Caldwell Health Department. She enjoyed working in her yard, rummaging at flea markets looking for salt and pepper shakers to add to her collection, also fishing, sharing coffee with her friends, taking annual sister trips, and spending time with her family. All of us will miss her easy smile, helping hands, and great sense of humor. The family would like to request, that in lieu of flowers, any planned memorials be made to Angel Ministries, 509 North 2nd Street, Monroe, LA 71201.
