M.L. Jack Harvey

Funeral services for M.L. Jack Harvey, 76, of Hebert will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Bethany Baptist Church in Hebert with Bro. Rod Shipp officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the church. Jack was born May 9, 1936 to Loyd and Modie Mae Harvey in Columbia and he passed from this life on January 12, 2013 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. He held many occupations including having worked 38 years as a forester for International Paper and he loved to farm. He also enjoyed squirrel hunting. He was preceded in death by his son: Leslie Harvey and his parents. He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Faye Shipp Harvey; son: Marty Harvey and April; daughter: Cindy Mullenix and her husband Dennis; three sisters: Pat Walters and her husband Louis; Linda Devine and her husband Bob; Rosie Varnell and her husband Keith; five grandchildren: Brandon Harvey and his wife Paula; Brandy Harvey and her husband Jeff; Melissa Harvey, Jonathan Mullenix, and Trey Harvey; two great-grandchildren: Madison Hern and Jaden Culpepper; three special friends: Big Mama, Doris Bradley; Louis Mullenix, Larry Norris. Pallbearers will be David Walters, Brian Walters, Speck Graham, David Mabry, Ethan Emmons, Jimmy Bond, Heath Mott, and Easy Rider. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Norris, Louis Mullenix, Donald Weed, and Pete Lively. The family would like to send a special thanks to Home Health nurse, Michelle Gregory.
