Lyndall Ray Simons was born in Columbia, LA on June 10, 1971, to the union of his parents, Dewuna Williams Simons and Lyndall Ray Simons. Lynn, referred to by his friends as "Red", had three loves in his life. First, LeaAnn Farrington Simons, the love of his life for thirty-two years. Second was his children, who he spoiled in his own way, Christian, Christopher, and Sara. As much as he loved the above, the third was his two granddaughters, Anna and Gracie, who he adored.
Lynn was a hard worker who was employed by NOMAC Drilling at a young age. He also drove a log truck. He had a talent for wood-working and was a shade tree mechanic. Anyone who knew Lynn knew how much he loved a good meal. He could never pass up an "all you can eat" buffet or fresh salsa and chips, not to mention Ken's Seafood Gumbo. Lynn experienced some health problems over the past few years but he continued to live his life and not give up. He made the statement "I'm not going to just sit down. I am going to do what I love until it's my time to go." That's exactly what Lynn did, he lived everyday. Lynn was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Lynn Simons; father, Ray Simons; and his God-son, Michael Tucker.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, LeaAnn Farrington Simons; daughters, Christian Simons and Sara Simons; granddaughters, Anna and Gracie Binkley; mother, Dewuna Simons; sister, Linda Simons Ford (Aubrey); many nieces, nephews, and life-long friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bradley Winstead, Dustin Winstead, Eric Gremillion, John-Boy Walton, Justin Delaney, Aubrey Ford, Sr., and Derrick Gremillion. Honorary pallbearers are Dale Clark, Robert Tucker, Buddy Carter, and Layden Trichell.
The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice for their support, with special thanks to Phillip Myers.
