Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Fay Parker Caldwell, age 67 of Columbia, will be 3PM Monday, September 28, 2009 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Brian Rankin officiating. Interment will follow at Fellowship Cemetery West of Columbia. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 10AM until 9PM. Mrs. Caldwell was born in Columbia, LA on October 16, 1941 to the union of Fred Parker and Beatrice Bamburg Parker Shipp and passed from this life on Friday, September 25, 2009 in Monroe after a lengthy illness. She was a retired nurse's aide and homemaker. She was a beloved wife, mother and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Donnie Fay Caldwell Marcum, four sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law and one granddaughter. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Donnie Joe Caldwell, three daughters: Theresa Rials and husband, Ronnie, Judy Spells and husband, Billy Joe and Peggy Bishop and husband, Carl all of Columbia, two sons: Joe Paul Caldwell and Calvin "Bobo" Coates and wife, Danyelle both of Columbia, sister, Mildred Wallace of Monroe, three brothers: John Parker and wife, Debbie, Danny Emmons and wife, Wendy and Jimmy Emmons and wife, Tammy all of Columbia, twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Calvin "Bobo" Coates, Edwin "Peanut" Jones, Donnie Jones, Michael Caldwell, Jeremy Towell and Clifton Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Michael McMurray, Derek Coates, Eric Powell, Ronnie Rials, Billy Joe Spells and Timothy McCarty. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
