Funeral services for Loyce Jordan McCartney, age 95 of Olla will be held 2pm Saturday March 23, 2013 from the Pine Hill Baptist Church at Olla, with Rev. George Ferrington and Rev. David McGuffee officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 22 at the funeral home in Olla from 5 pm until 8 pm, and on Saturday from 10 am until time of service at the church. Loyce Jordan McCartney was born on February 20, 1918 in Winnfield, LA to the union of her parents, Ervin Jordan and Maybelle Crawford Jordan. She passed from this life on March 16, 2013 at the Alpine Guest Care Center in Ruston. She was an active member of Pine Hill Baptist Church since 1935, where her love of God was most evident through her faith, and the way she lived her life from day to day, she loved and was loved. She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband Joe M. McCartney; son-in-law, Jerry L. Miller; great-grandson, Aaron Eitel; her sister, Rachel Wilder; and her brother, Ellis Jordan. Survivors include: two daughters, Elayne Miller of Ruston, and Gayle Granger and husband Phillip of Pineville; her grandchildren: Stephen Miller and wife Nanette, Stacee Priddy and husband John, Kim Eitel and husband Chris, Dana Presley and husband Charles, and Amy Weaver and husband Richard. She also is survived by her great-grandchildren: Jessica Miller, Daniel, Megan, and Meredith Priddy; Andrew and Austin Eitel, Jordan, Morgan, and Reed Presley; and R. J., Kimberlyn, and Wyatt Weaver. Pallbearers include: Stephen Miller, Chris Eitel, Charles Presley, Dr. John Priddy, Lt. Col. Richard Weaver, and C. H. Boyd. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Eitel, Austin Eitel, R. J. Weaver, Daniel Priddy, Wyatt Weaver, Reed Presley, and Justin Bennett. In lieu of flowers any planned memorials may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, or any charity of one's choice.
