Funeral services for Leroy Clark, Jr. will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, Louisiana with Rev. Roy Lowery and Brian Hall officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 5 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Hebert Cemetery, Hebert, Louisiana.
Leroy Clark, Jr. was born July 13, 1938 at Hebert, Louisiana to the union of his parents, Leroy Clark, Sr. and Willie Womack Clark, and he passed from this life on January 22, 2017 at his residence following an extended illness.
Leroy Clark, Jr. was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother. He devoted his life to his family and his farm. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. He enjoyed the laughter his grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought to his life. His beloved wife of 57 years was the light of his life and the center of his world. He owned Howard's Grocery where he furthered his friendships in his community. He was a member of Hebert Community Church where he served many years on the board and was extremely active. His memory will be cherished by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Clark, Sr. and Willie Womack Clark and by his son, Lee Roy Clark III.
Left to cherish his life and memories are his wife, Irene Clark of Hebert, LA; his daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara and Brian Hall, Jennifer and Jimbo Fuller, and Billie and Autry Reid; his sister and brother-in-law, Annette and Kirby McGuffee; grandchildren: Jesse and Jessica Hall, Annie and Andrew Thompson, Hilary and Caleb Weeks, Jeffery and Liz Fuller, Heather and Michael Stapleton, Sara and Aaron Graham, Hope Reid, Kevin and Jessie Fuller, and Justin and Sarie Fuller; nieces: Tyler Ann McGuffee, Mattie K McGuffee; great niece, Anna K; great-grandchildren: Halli, Sophia, Katherine, Jade, Justin, Landon, Landry, Ellie Claire, Tanner, Annabelle, Luke, Lily, Caroline, Lathan and Amelia.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Hall, Andrew Thompson, Caleb Weeks, Jeffery Fuller, Michael Stapleton, Aaron Graham, Kevin Fuller and Shane Hart.
