Leonard Allen

Funeral services for Leonard J. Allen, age 76 of Columbia, will be 2 PM Monday, November 30, 2009 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Bro. Bubba Tucker officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Visitation will be Sunday evening at the funeral home from 5 PM to 9 PM. Mr. Allen was born in Clarks on March 4, 1933 to the union of Clyde O. and Thelma Richardson Allen and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at Haven Nursing Center in Columbia. He was a member of Clarks Baptist Church and was a veteran of the US Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Jaime Allen, Dorcey Allen and Clyde Allen and sister; Aline Wilson. Survivors include his wife of forty-six years; Estelle Allen of Columbia, four daughters: Laura Tucker and husband, Bubba of Rosefield, Monica Gentry and husband, Gary of Columbia, Leann Allen and Melissa Allen both of Columbia, two brothers: Jimmy Lee Allen and wife, Judy of Pineville and Lester Allen and wife, Joan of Little Rock, AR, sister; Marie Randolph and husband, Randy of Pineville, five grandsons: Zeb Tucker and wife, Holly, Caleb Tucker, Brian Fatheree, Jacob Gentry and Zack Gentry and special friends: Mary Guerrero and James Albert McDaniel. Pallbearers will be Zeb Tucker, Caleb Tucker, Brian Fatheree, Jacob Gentry, Zack Gentry, James Albert McDaniel and Randy Allen.
