Funeral services for Lawrence Daniel Boone will be held Sunday, March 30, 2014 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, Louisiana at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Grayson. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5 PM until 8 PM and Sunday from noon until time of service at the funeral home. Lawrence Daniel Boone, age 48, of Columbia was born on October 24, 1965 to his parents, Mary Ann and Joel Boone, Sr at Monroe, Louisiana. He passed from this life on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Columbia, Louisiana. Daniel was a water operator for Caldwell Parish. He loved his job and was a hard-worker. As an avid outdoorsman, Daniel lived up to his name. Hunting and fishing were his favorite things to do. Daniel was a soft-spoken man who valued honesty and loyalty. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Carlton Glen Boone, his nephew Adam Nelson Williams and his niece Melissa Boone. He is survived by his wife, Sheryl Boone; a sister, Linda Spangler and husband, Ellis; brothers: Joel Lynn Boone, Jr and James Edward Boone; a niece, Vivian Boone and a nephew, Nathan Boone. Pallbearers are Ethan Barnes, Jason Barnes, Zachary Barnes, Pearl Adams, Sydney Mac and Charles Braddock. Honorary pallbearers are William Barnes, Mickey Hilburn, David Tucker and Ronnie Tucker.
