Kisha Rene Rockett

Was born on September 18, 1967 to the parents of James Woody Thompson and Judy Annette Thompson in Monroe, Louisiana.She passed from this life and to her new home in eternity on January 19, 2024 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana.She was surrounded by the love of her family and friends as she  went peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father. Kisha was a fighter, a protector, a giver, the backbone of her family, and most of all a child of God. She loved her family with every fiber in her body and would do anything to make sure they were okay no matter the cost.

She is proceeded in death by her father James Woody Thompson, two infant siblings, and her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Left to cherish her memory is her mother Judy T. Evans and husband W.L. of Mississippi. Children Johnathon Broussard and Fiancé Elizabeth, Shay Broussard and husband Brandon, Lacey Rockett and fiancé Ryan and Christian Broussard and fiancé Kaylee. Grandchildren Riley Sims, Hadley Simmons and Audrey Sims. Her brother Jason Thompson and sister in law Roxanne.Numerous nieces and nephews.

 And the love of her life, the one who hung the stars and the moon in her eyes, Gary Gillespie.

The Rockett Family will host visitation on Monday January 22, 2024 from 11:00 am UNTIL 1:00 pm at the funeral home located at 7131 U S Highway 165, Columbia, LA 71418.
