Funeral services for Kenneth Bart Thompson, age 41 of Kelly, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Apostolic Truth Tabernacle in Grayson, Louisiana with Bro. Sherman Jones, Bro. David Gomez and Jacob Buntyn officiating. Interment will follow at Little Star Cemetery, Grayson, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Apostolic Truth Tabernacle, Grayson, Louisiana. Bart was born March 23, 1975 in Columbia, Louisiana to the union of his parents, Albert and Sharon Thompson of Holum, Louisiana and he passed from this life on August 3, 2016 in Columbia. He worked in the oilfield as a Drill Site Manager for Chevron. Bart loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He especially loved hog hunting with his favorite girl, Dana and his beloved dog, Tiger. Bart had so many friends and family members who loved him dearly. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Albert Louis Thompson, Medie Pierce Thompson, Curtis Wallace Smith, Sr. and Helen Louise Thomas Smith. Bart is survived by his parents; his daughter, Sophie Claire Thompson of Monroe; his best friend and love of his life, Dana Meredith of Kelly; children he loved like his own: Dakota Shaye DeMoss and wife, Noelle of Copenhagen, Hunter Kyle DeMoss and wife, Rebekah of San Diego, CA, Corey Jay Demoss of Minden, Dalton Meredith of Pistol Thicket; Lenzy Meredith of Pistol Thicket and Lauren Cook and husband, James Michael of Pistol Thicket; a brother, Kyle Brett Thompson and wife, Tammy of Holum; grandchildren: Dakoda Shannon DeMoss, Waylon Cash DeMoss, Remington Gauge DeMoss, Weston Smith DeMoss, James Nathaniel Cook, Cora Ann Cook and Maverick Henry Davis Cook. Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Volentine, David Mabry, Ricky Rollins, Bill Smith, Shaye DeMoss and John Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter DeMoss, Dalton Meredith, Corey DeMoss, Stewart Hall, Jacob Foster, Will Whitman and Brannon Bailes.
