Funeral services for Katelin Dulaney, age 25 of West Monroe, will be held at 10 AM Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Union Baptist Church, Joyce, LA. Interment will follow at Dulaney Family Cemetery, Sikes, LA.
Visitation will be at Union Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Then again Thursday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
Katelin was born on December 27, 1988 in Alexandria, LA and went with her beloved daughters, Adeleen and Laila Forbis, to their Heavenly home on Saturday, May 31, 2014.
Katelin was a very creative and aristic person that had many hobbies in the arts including: photography, crochet, crafts, avid reading and music. While attending then graduating LA Tech in November 2013 with her Marketing Degree, she played the flute and violin in the orchestra and concert band for the college. She was very active in her community in supporting various organizations, especially, Habitat for Humanity, where she headed events and fundraising occasions.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers: John L. Sullivan and Harvel Dulaney; step-grandfather, Doug Adams; great-grandparents: Henry Vines, Sr. and Jewel Vines and special aunt, Beatrice Gorham.
Those left to cherish her memory include her father, Randall Dulaney of Sikes; mother, Lisa Sullivan Dulaney of Tioga; brothers: Noah Abdelhamied, Omar Abdelhamied both of Tioga and Christian Dulaney of Zebulon, GA; grandmothers: Florence Katherine Sullivan and Sue Adams; aunts: Ada Webre and Susan Hearold; uncles: Dixson Dulaney (Debbie), Donald Dulaney (Penny) and Johnny Webre; great-uncles: Junior Vines (Dianne), Benoit Crain (Cora), Jimmy Dulaney (Melba); great-aunts: Linda Harris, Jean Whitten (Godfrey) and Doris Dulaney and numerous cousins.
