Karl Mitchell Bailey

Due to the weather the graveside funeral services for Karl M. Bailey, age 69 of Monroe, will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at the Fellowship Baptist Church, west of Columbia, LA. There will be a visitation from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church, as they will have coffee and cake for visitors.

Karl Mitchell Bailey was born on February 9, 1952, at Columbia, LA to the union of his parents, Shannon Bailey and Inez Katherine May Bailey. He passed from this life on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe.

Karl owned and operated Harper Army Surplus in West Monroe for many years. He served his country in the National Guard and was preceded in death by his father, Shannon Bailey. Karl was a graduate of West Monroe High School and Northeast Louisiana University. He loved his dog, “Cash.” He loved to work and he had a tremendous love for horses.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved mother, Inez May Bailey; his brother, Jerry Bailey; nephew and family, Shannon Bailey, wife Brianna and their children, Krew, and Emry Jane; niece and her family, Angela Rider, husband Heath and their children: Tuff and Kodie.

The Karl Bailey family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mary Lou Harrison and Renee Cortez for the wonderful care extended to Karl during his last days of life.
