Kandace Mills

Funeral services for Kandace "KanKan" LaShay Mills will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 23, 2023, at the Beouf River Worship Center (The Woolen Lake Church) with her mother, Jo Mills officiating and Tony Robinson reading the eulogy. This will conclude the services as  a private interment will follow under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at Beouf River Worship Center (The Woolen Lake Church) from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 22, 2023.

Kandace LaShay Mills was born June 22, 1983, in Monroe, LA to the union of her parents, Richard Lee Mills and Jo Annette Meredith Mills and she passed from this life February 19, 2023. Kandace was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ben and Doris Meredith and her paternal grandparents, Derwood and Gwen Mills.

Kandace better known as KanKan, was a beautiful person inside and out. She had a big heart and she was always doing something funny to make those around her laugh. Kandace was a good mom, daughter, sister, and friend. Kandace loved shopping, hoarding stuff, and her grand-dog Cash. Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Richard and Jo; her daughter, Brooklyn Volentine; her brother, Lee Mills; two sisters, Meredith Mills and Johnnie Robinson (Tony); nieces and nephew: Destinie, Maycee, Jayden, and Vaida; great nieces and nephews: Dally, Roper, and Mason; as well as a host of cousins.

Pallbearers will include Joey Escalon, Jayden Mills, Clay Mills, Chris Mills, Brian Weston, and Jamie Lowery. Honorary pallbearers are Caden Spangler, Chris Knight, and Jason McClanahan.
