Julian Bryant Martin, Jr.

Funeral services for Bryant Martin, age 53 of Olla, LA will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Kelly Baptist Church, Kelly, LA with Bro. Joe Aguillard officiating and Stacy Bearden assisting. Interment will follow at Little Star Cemetery, Holum, LA under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, LA from 5PM to 8PM.

Julian Bryant Martin, Jr. was born September 17, 1970, to the loving union of Julian Bryant "Buck" Martin, Sr. and Barbara Lynn Livingston. He was tragically taken from this world on March 8, 2024. Bryant's life cannot be defined by the greatest thing he ever did nor by the worst. His life was one of struggle, strife, rebirth, and redemption. Bryant was born again in Christ on December 13, 2015. Bryant's walk with the Lord was never an even stride and in truth he stumbled many times but he never doubted the grace of God. He was bold and ever at the ready to share his testimony with who so ever God put in his path. Bryant had a heart of gold and a child-like spirit which gave him favored status with many of his nephews and nieces by doing things with them such as building log forts and riding horses. He loved being outdoors and working with his hands. Many of his family members have living reminders of his craftsmanship in their homes today. Bryant was preceded in death by his father; his paternal grandparents, Julian and Lottie Martin; his maternal grandparents, Richard and Vergie Livingston; his uncle and mentor, Dempsey Hart; his sister-in-law, Cassie Martin; and his great niece, Isabella Bearden. 

Bryant was loved by those he left behind, his mother, Barbara Martin; his sister, Stacy Bearden (Brent), his brother, Brandon Martin; his nephews: Trey Bearden (Hailey), Matthew Bearden (Christina), Slade Martin, and Kayse Martin; his niece, Rheese Martin; his great-nephews: Blake Bearden, B-Beaux Bearden, and Knox Bearden; his great- nieces, Stormie Bearden and Teagan Bearden; his chosen children, Jesse Jewel and his daughter, Madilynn, and Samantha Browning Dortch (Tommy), and many, many more beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will include Rickey Stowe, Chadd Roberts, James Bass, Trey Bearden, Matthew Bearden, and Jesse Jewel. Honorary pallbearers are Julian Roberts and John Wisby.
