Julia Scribner

Funeral services for Julia Scribner, 84, of Grayson, will be held at 10 AM Friday December 31, 2010 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Bobby Rodrigue officiating. Interment will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery in Clarks. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Julia was born July 30, 1926 to Eddie and Fleda Watson Fitzgerald in Columbia and she passed from this life on December 29, 2010 at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. She was a homemaker and she attended the Assembly of God church in Clarks. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Dorothy Brown; her parents; three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her husband of 65 years: Sidney Scribner; two daughters: Marilyn Whittington and her husband Gerald of Columbia; Linda Lowery and her husband James of Grayson; three brothers: Bobby, Watson, and Waitzell Fitzgerald; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Brad Hearne, Eric Keesler, Austin Fitzgerald, Butch Hatten, Ray Massey, Dewayne Reitzell, and Justin Crocker.
