Funeral services for Luther Benard Sellers, Jr., age 65 of Urania, will be held at 2 PM Thursday, November 29, 2012 from the sanctuary of Urania First Baptist Church in Urania, LA with Bro. Bo Prather and Bro. Ron Skinner officiating. Interment will follow at Olla Cemetery in Olla,. LA. Visitation will be Wednesday evening at Urania First Baptist Church from 5 PM to 9 PM. Mr. Sellers was born in Clarks, LA on January 15, 1947 to the union of Luther Benard Sellers, Sr., and Morjorie Williams Sellers and passed from this life on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at his residence. He was an avid hunter of many game and enjoyed fishing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Wanda Jean Bass. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Anna Sellers of Urania; mother, Morjorie Sellers of Winnfield; two daughters: Keycha Sellers Thornton and husband, John of Tullos and Kristie Sellers Talley and husband, Jason of Olla; two brothers: Terry Sellers and wife, Linda of Urania and Curtis Sellers and wife, Beverly of Clarks; sister, Paula McBroom of Urania; four grandchildren: Zachary Thornton, Jessica Talley, Hannah Thornton and Matthew Talley. Pallbearers will be Wayne Corley, Leonard Henderson, Mike Nowlin, Michael Sullivan, Kent Roark and Josh Young. Honorary pallbearers will be Bradley McDowell, Mickey Lofton and Danny Corley. The family would like to give a special thank you to their friends and church family at Urania First Baptist Church for their continued prayers, love and comfort during this time of need.
