Memorial services for Barney Levan Fleming, Jr. age 63 of Columbia will be held 2:00 pm Saturday September 5, 2015 from the sanctuary of Sandy Bayou Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Russell officiating. Visitation with the Fleming Family will be from 12:00 Noon to time of service at the church. Barney Levan Fleming, Jr. was born on May 1, 1952 in Bogalusa, LA to the union of his parents Barney Levan Fleming, Sr. and Ella Loretta Parker Fleming, and he passed from this life on Thursday August 27, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness. Barney was preceded in death by his father and by his sister Rhonda Corrales. He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He was a loving husband , father and grandfather, and found so much pleasure in his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, and he truly exemplified the Harley Motto, "Live to Ride and Ride to Live". He was a member of the Iron Workers Local 623 in Baton Rouge for thirty five years and was very proud to be affiliated with this organization. Left to cherish his memory his beloved wife: Connie Davis Fleming of Columbia; his mother and stepfather: Loretta and Leonard Ray Sharpley, Sr of Keithville; his sons: Trey Fleming,III of Wirtz, Virginia, Mack Bellmore of Swartz, Brandon and Peggy Bellmore of Columbia, and Dustin Bellmore and friend Josh of West Monroe; his daughters: Angela Denise Barajas and husband Ben of Mooringsport and Crystal Bellmore of Monroe; his sisters: Rachel Bynog and husband Henry of Keithville, Ramona and Steve Phillips of Richmond, VA and Rochelle Hataway and husband Wayne of Vivian;his mother-in-law: JoAnn Richmond Davis, sister-in-law: Linda Davis, brother-in-law: Danny Davis and a host of grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.
