Jonathan Paul Jones

Jonathan Paul Jones, age 40 of Columbia passed away Monday, July 18, 2016 at his residence. He was born March 23, 1976 in Urania, LA to his parents, Denise Murphrey Cox and Robert Benjamin Jones. Jonathan was loved dearly by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by a son, Destin Jones and his grandfathers: William Thomas Murphrey and Robert Benjamin Jones, Sr. Left to cherish his memory are his parents; his fiancée, Tori Powell; sons: Blake Jones and Tyler Jones; daughter, Taylor Jones; brothers: Bradley Jones, Ben Jones, Dawson Jones, Jesse Cox, Jacob Cox, and Joshua Cox; sister, Casey Toups; and grandmothers: Mary Murphrey and Dee Lois Whiddon. Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Cox, Jacob Cox, Joshua Cox, Dawson Jones, Davis Young and Brandon Mitchell. Graveside services will be held at 9:00 AM, Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Urania Cemetery, Urania, LA with Rev. Donnie Boney officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla, LA.
