Johnny Wayne Aycock

Funeral services for Johnny Wayne Aycock will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from the sanctuary of Urania Pentecostal Church, Urania, Louisiana with Rev. Clay Hutto officiating. Interment will follow at Urania Cemetery under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Olla, Louisiana. The family will receive visitors prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 AM until 2:00PM, at the church on Wednesday.

Johnny Wayne "Big John" Aycock was born in Columbia, Louisiana on October 7 1967, to the union of his parents, Cecil Earnest Aycock and Arzelia Victoria Gough Aycock, and he passed from this life August 28, 2022, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana. Big John loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and camping out. He drove a log truck for a living and he never tired of driving through the countryside looking out at the beauty of all the different trees, flowers, lakes, and wildlife he saw. Big John was a moma's baby who loved his family deeply. He enjoyed getting everyone together to visit and to eat. He loved and spoiled his dog "JoJo" and his moma's bird "Earnie."

Big John was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Frank Aycock; and sister, Joy Hendrix. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Deann Aycock; brother, Carl Aycock (Deborah); sisters, Vicky Cassels (Ronnie) and Diane Cotten (Paul); and a host of extended family members.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jordy Poole, Josh Beckley, Tim Tarver, Ronnie Cassels, and Paul Cotten.
