John Douglas Taylor

Funeral services for John D. Taylor 87 of Columbia, La will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 20, 2021 from the Columbia chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, November 19, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. at the Chapel of Riser. John was born October 10, 1934 in Melrose, La to the union of his parents Oscar Taylor SR and Elizabeth Remo Taylor and passed from this life November 11, 2021 in Columbia, La. John was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Douglas L Taylor, his brothers, Oscar Taylor JR. and Percy McHenry, and a sister, Lena Samuel.

John was a hard worker, who enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Roggie Taylor, sons: John D Taylor JR, John E Taylor, Ronnie J Taylor, Kenneth R Tatum, and Roger L Tatum, daughters: Billie S Taylor and Betina L Brown, brothers; Charles McHenry and Odell Taylor, seventeen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, and nephews.
