John Marshall

John Charles Marshall, age 71 of Columbia and formerly of New Orleans passed away at his home on Saturday March 12, 2016, peacefully following an extended illness. John was born on November 24, 1944 in Henderson, Texas to the union of his parents Leonard Ellis Marshall and Ruby Pearl Roberts Marshall. Following Hurricane Katrina John relocated to Caldwell Parish and had made a home here in our area. He was retired with British Petroleum where he served as a Instrumentation Technician. He served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam. John was a family man and was loved by his family and by all who had the oppourtunity to work with him. He will never be forgotten. He is preceded in death by his parents and by his wife Susan Waters Marshall. Left to cherish his memory: his son: Frank Scheible and wife Brandi of Columbia; two daughters: Kristin Scheible of Columbia and Deborah Ramos and husband Juan of Columbia; one brother: William Marshall of Tyler, Texas, and his sister: Cherry Howelth of Texarkana; nine grandchildren: Devin Licata, Charlee Townsend, Alex Marshall Ramos, Bailey Ramos, Colby Ramos, Jacob Rivera, Chloe Scheible, Skyler Scheible, Trinity Scheible; and one great granddaughter: Adalyn Ales. The Marshall Family will plan a memorial service to be held in New Orleans later this year and thos plans will be announced as soon as they are made available.
