John Cruse

Funeral services for John E. Cruse 72 of Olla will be held 10AM Wed. December 2,2009 from the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Olla with Rev's: D.R. Boney and Thomas McMurray officiating. Interment will follow in the Harris Chapel Cemetery with services under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the church from 5 to 9pm. John Esbon Cruse was born on June 14, 1937 to the beloved union of Alfred Lankston Cruse and Lessie ( Purvis )Cruse . He passed from this life on Nov. 29 at the Golden Age Nursing Center in Jena following an extended illness. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and welder, and was an active member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church before his health deteriorated to the point he could no longer attend. John was a dear loving husband to his wife of fifty three years: Dell(Smith) Cruse of Olla. He was also a wonderful father to three daughters: Eunice Cruse of Grayson, Betty Knight of Calhoun, and Patty Cruse of Calhoun; three sons: Curtis Cruse of Kelly, John Cruse of Olla, and Clyde Cruse of Manifest. As part of his legacy he leaves behind eighteen grandchildren , twenty two great grandchildren, and one great great grand child. Pallbearers include: Bradley Cruse, Don Cruse, Johnny Barnhill, Bubba Barnhill, Dustin Trichel, and David Trichel . Honorary pallbearers include J. W. Mills, Kenneth Gremion, and Barry Raney.
