Funeral services for Mr. Thurman Ray "Joe" May, age 65 of Clarks, will be 10 AM Saturday, January 9, 2010 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Larry Atkins officiating. Interment will be at Welcome Home Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening at the funeral home from 5 PM to 8 PM. Joe was born in Florale, AL to the union of the late Garland Ray May and the late Ruby Lee Norris May and passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. Survivors include his aunt; Ruth Creech of Florale, AL, five uncles: Tommy Norris and wife, Carolyn of Nauvoo, AL, Edward Norris and wife, Fay of Nauvoo, AL, Wayne Norris of Kinston, AL, Quitman Norris and wife, Ann of FL and Daniel "Jr" Norris of AL, host of cousins and two special friends: Sandy Murphy and husband, Clif of Grayson and Marie Childress and husband, Kenneth of Grayson.
