JoAnn Murry Albritton

Funeral services for JoAnn Albritton will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Olla, LA, with Pastor Cherish Peppers officiating. Interment will follow at Olla Cemetery. The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Joann Street Murry Albritton was born July 3, 1940, to the union of her parents, Myrtle McKinley Street and Allie Mead Street, and she passed away October 10, 2022, at Hardtner Medical Center, Urania, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings; two husbands, Olen Murry and Johnny Albritton; two children, DeWanna Young and James Murry; and her grandson, Davie Young. JoAnn lived a quiet life and was content to stay home and take care of her family. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, and she never missed an episode of Wheel of Fortune. JoAnn loved her family deeply, especially her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tammy Wilson (Billy); grandchildren: DeAnn Aycock, Daylin Young, Colby Murry, Trace Murry, Jerod foster, Garth Wilson, and Luke Wilson; a host of great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and special niece, Melanie Howell.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jerod Foster, Garth Wilson, Colby Murry, Daylin Murry, Thaniel Young, and Luke Wilson. Honorary pallbearer is Trace Murry.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Riser Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
