Funeral services for Jimmy Dale Hendrix, 80, of Olla, will be held 2 PM Monday, December 19, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Olla with Bro. Johnnie Phillips officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 5-8 PM at Riser Funeral Home in Olla and Monday from 9 AM to 12 PM at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Lincecum Cemetery in Georgetown. Jimmy was born August 10, 1931 in Winnsboro to Howard and Dollie Mitchell Hendrix and he passed from this life on December 16, 2011 at his residence. He was a bus driver for Continental Trailways. He loved to fish and work on his farm. He was preceded in death by his wife: Marie Hendrix; daughter: Debbie Hendrix; brother: Homer Hendrix; his parents: Howard and Dollie Mitchell Hendrix. He is survived by his wife of two and a half years: Margaret Gray Hendrix of Olla; son: Ricky Hendrix and his wife Theresa of Winnfield; three daughters: Jonda Parnell and her husband David of Georgetown; Wanda Navarro of Reno, NV; Betty Hughes of Olla; brother: L.O. Hendrix and his wife Myra of Robinson, TX; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers will be Bob Allbritton, Blake Sims, Kevin Kenny, Kenneth Hendrix, David Hendrix, and David Parnell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy King and Ray Duke.
