Jimmy Wayne Denison

Funeral services for Jimmy Wayne Denison, age 68 of Kelly, LA, will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, March 13, 2022, from the sanctuary of Urania Pentecostal Church in Urania with Bro. Clay Hutto officiating. Assisting him will be Bro. David Poole and Bro. Mike Russell. Interment will follow the service at Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson, LA under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the church from 5 PM until 9 PM. 

Jimmy Wayne Denison was born on March 25, 1953, in Monroe, LA to the union of his parents, George H. Denison, Jr. and Myrtle Patton Denison, and he passed from this life into eternity on March 10, 2022 at his home in Kelly. An active member of Urania Pentecostal Church, he loved to fellowship over a good meal with friends at church. Jimmy had a strong work ethic. He started logging at 16 and made it a career. He worked with numerous loggers over the years including: Bud Smith, Kenneth Gore, Ark-La-Miss Timber, James Hopper, and Stott Lumber. He was an expert in his field and always took good care of his company, his crew, and the landowner. Jimmy always had a big garden and enjoyed growing vegetables for his family. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and working on and admiring old cars. He never met a stranger and loved to joke and cut up. He was a wonderful, husband, dad and grandfather. He loved his family greatly but especially his grandchildren who were his pride and joy.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 47 years, Debbie Baum Denison; his daughter, Dianna Dumas and husband, Todd and their daughter, Avery; his son, Heath Denison and his wife, Danielle and their two children, Presley and Holden; and his son, Jeff Denison and his two children, Jaxson and Cooper.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Crain, Dennis Baum, Donnie Taylor, Timmy Clark, Bill Smith, Tracey Pauley, and Terry Pauley. Honorary pallbearers are Glen Grant, Bro. Larry Adkins, Russell Price, Martin Cavazos, Glen Barnhill, and Eddie Westbrooks.
