Funeral services for Jessie Lois Wiggins age 82 of Jena will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday November 17, 2020 from the sanctuary of Zion Hill Baptist Church west of Olla, LA with Bro. Denver McBroom officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia and Olla. The Wiggins Family will receive visitors on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church. Jessie Lois Wiggins was born on March 10, 1938 at Jena, LA to the union of her parents, James Methvin, Sr and Annie Whitard Methvin and she passed from this life on Sunday November 15, 2020 at the Jena Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jena, LA. Jessie loved the outdoors and fishing; loved her pets and loved going to the casino. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son: Wendall Wiggins, her daughter: Brenda Pietila, her first husband: Robert Wiggins, second husband: Ardell Taylor and her brother: Marvin Methvin and her sisters; Helen Leggett and Carolyn Jones. Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Michael Wiggins(Faye) and Marvin Taylor; her brothers: James A. Methvin, JR and (Connie) and Guy Methvin; her sisters: Jimmie Ann McIlwain and Sarah Butler (Ray). She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, as well as her dear friends Henry and Angel Carter. Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Beaubouef, Henry Carter, Kelly Burke, Joseph Voigt, James Wiggins and Mike Couch. Serving as pallbearers will be her brothers James Methvin JR, and Guy Methvin.
