Jessie Valonia "Vigie" Lowery Guerrero

Funeral services for Jessie Valonia “Vigie” Guerrero, age 71 of Columbia, will be held at 2 PM Sunday, August 21, 2016 in the sanctuary of Christians Sharing Christ Church in Clarks, LA with Brother Larry Adkins officiating. The interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson, LA. Visitation will be Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Christians Sharing Christ Church from 5 PM to 8 PM. Mrs. Guerrero was born on July 20, 1945 in Riverton , LA to the union of her parents: Lorey Alexander Lowery and Hattie Stapleton Lowery. She went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia, LA. She was an extremely great wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was always keeping her home well kept inside and outside even on the day of her death. She and her husband were members of Christians Sharing Christ Church. She was extremely loved by her husband, family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Lorene Lowery Laffoon, Lavern Lowery Sims, Waymond Lowery, Voncille Lowery Parker, Hazel Lowery Futch and Lorey Lowery, Jr. Those left to miss her deeply and to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of over 51 years, Albert Guerrero of Columbia, LA; sons: Ronnie Darrell Guerrero (spouse: Lubomir Otseolov Dimitrov) of Plantation, FL and Todd Darren Guerrero of Columbia, LA; daughter, Rhonda Linette Guerrero Powell (Richard) of Winona, MS; brothers: John Lowery (Sue) of Florida, DeWayne Lowery (Lynette) of Columbia, LA; sisters: Lenora Lowery Peterson of Grayson, LA, Glenda Lowery Sims of Longview, TX and Edith Lowery Smith (Larry) of Monroe, LA; grandchildren: Charles “Charlie” "Trey" Richard Powell III, Jessica Megan Powell Lawson, Krystin Manuela Powell and Autumn Roselyce Powell, Tyler Darren Bastos Guerrero, and Kevin Todd Bastos Guerrero; and one great-grandchild, Krystina Lawson. Pallbearers will be Frank “Frankie” Martinez, Javier Israel Guerrero, Marvin Bailey, “Charlie” Powell, Larry Wayne Adkins and William Adkins. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Jessie Valonia Guerrero's memory to the GIDEONS, c/o Dr. Linus Carroll, PO Box 959, Columbia, LA 71418.
