Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie Mae Ates Baum age 68 of Grayson will be held 2PM Thursday October 9, 2008 from the Pine Grove Apostolic Church at Kelly with the Rev's.William Nash and Johnny Barnhill officiating. Interment will follow in the New Life Cemetery at Liddieville,La. The Baum Family will receive guests on Thursday Oct. 9, 2008 at the church from 10AM until time of service. Jessie Mae Ates was born at Shaw ,La. on August 9, 1940 to the union of her parents Jessie Lee Ates and Mae Jewel Smith Ates. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Billy Joe Baum, her son Elton Max Carter, Jr., stepson Earl Winstead, sister Ethel Maurine Scott, and a brother J. W. Ates. Mrs. Baum was a homemaker. Survivors include-Brother Cecil Ates of Epps,La. Daughter- Cheryl Jarrette of Crowville,La. Two step daughters-Deanna & Karen Winstead both of Winnfield,La. 13 Grand Children and 15 Great Grand Children.Also a host of nieces and nephews and friends. Pallbearers include Mitch Bratton, Amos Tomlinson, James Barnhill,Heath barnhill, Rusty Cruse, and Cleston Tomlinson. Benny Campbell will serve as honorary pallbearer.
