Funeral services for Mr. Jesse Bailey Chelette, Sr., will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at the Chapel of Riser Funeral Home of Olla with Rev. Gary Norris and Rev. Byron Gray officiating. Interment will be follow in Olla Cemetery.Vistiation will be from 5pm to 9pm Monday, December 21, 2009, in the Chapel of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. Mr. Chelette, 75, was born on October 27, 1934 in Epps, LA to the union of Derzeland "D.C." and Ada Hudson Chelette and passed from this life on Saturday, December 19, 2009 in his residence in Olla. He was a lineman and retired with Entergy after 34 years and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mrs. Shirley Jean Thomas Chelette, son, Jesse Bailey Chelette, Jr., 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors include his daughter, Mrs. Sandra Hailey and husband Steve of Nebo; 2 grandchildren, Josh Hailey of Jena and Amanda Hailey of Baton Rouge. 1 great grandson, Hunter Hailey of Jena; Sisters, Florence Butts of Epps, Mabel Holley of West Monroe, and Mavis Thielman of Sonoma,CA; Brothers, Carl Chelette of Magnolia, AR and Buford Chelette of Farmerville; Mother-in-law, Tempie P. Thornhill of Jena. Pallbearers will be Josh Hailey, Earl Hoadley, Larry Chelette, Leonard Chelette, Don Gwin, and Jimmy Swain.
