James Todd Patterson, age 55 of Minden, Louisiana was born September 27, 1964 in Phoenix, Arizona to the union of his parents, John I. Patterson and Joy Darden Patterson and he passed from this life August 17, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Todd was a man who “wore many hats” in his daily life. He was an educator as well as serving as a paramedic and deputy coroner for Webster Parish. During his career as an educator, Patterson, who was lovingly referred to as “Coach Pat”, was a softball coach, served as Vice-Principal at Minden High School and recently served as Principal of Doyline High School. He was well-respected and loved by those he worked with. He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Minden. Todd will greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Mittie and Paul Darden and Dot and Lamar McKeithen.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Amanda Harrison Patterson; his parents, Joy and John Patterson; his sons: J. T. Patterson, Price Darden Patterson and Connor Seth Patterson; his step-son, Harrison Sweeney; his sister, Kimberly Fisher and her husband, William, two grandchildren and one nephew, Christopher Fisher.
A private graveside service for family will be held later this week. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to a charity of your choice.
