James Madison Oliveaux

Funeral services for Jim Oliveaux will be held 12:00 PM, Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Hebert Full Gospel Church in Hebert, Louisiana with Mark London officiating and interment following at Etier Cemetery, under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 at Hebert Full Gospel Church.

James Madison “Jim” Oliveaux was born on July 23, 1935, in Hebert, Louisiana to the union of his beloved parents, Bill and Agnes Oliveaux. He passed from this life suddenly at his residence in Hebert on January 2,2025, following a brief illness.

The things in life that he enjoyed the most were hunting, fishing, and he had a green thumb for growing a garden. Jim’s passion in woodworking has left beauty and functionality throughout the homes and businesses of many people over the years. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, wife Katherine Mae Oliveaux, great-grandchild, Emma Stamper; great-great-grandchild, Asher Perry; and son-in-law, James Weems. 

Left to cherish his memory is his son James Oliveaux (Eve); his daughters: Patricia Woodward (Gary) and Cheryl Weems; his beloved grandchildren: Amy Tatum (Brad) and their children, Hannah Coghlan (Husband: Cody, Children: Kinslee, CJ), Haley Williamson (Husband: Blaze,Children: Sawyer, Olivia), and Gracie Perry( Husband:Logan, Children: Tatum, Tanner); April Oliveaux and her children Anna Busby (Luke, Child: Hadleigh), and Andrew Sevier; Dundy Patton (Jody); Dustin Oliveaux (Wife: Kimberly, Child: Ella); Gary Duane Woodward (Kimberly) and their children Duane Woodward (Wife:Bailey, Children: Canton, Adler), Madison Woodward (Erin, Children: Huxley, HaisleeRae), and Emily Woodward; Christina Thornton (Matthew), and their children, Matthew, Dillon (Wife: Claire, Child: Colton), Jessa, and Josie; Patty Driver (Husband: Kenneth, Children: Kadence, Tori, Anna); Maranda Weems (Luis) and their children Marina, Karina, and Kate; and Krista Drummond (Philip) and their nephew Rylan.

Pallbearers will include Duane Woodward, Madison Woodward, Kadence Stamper, Matthew Thornton, Dillon Thornton, Andrew Sevier, and Philip Drummond.
