James Nichols

Graveside services for James Leigh Nichols age 63 of Jena will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at the Harris Chapel Cemetery in Olla, La under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home. The family will have visitation from 12:00 PM until time of service. 

James was born on August 13, 1958 in Houma to the union of his parents, James Nichols Jr and Bennie Graham Nichols, and he passed away from this life on February 10, 2022, at LaSalle General Hospital. James was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Don Barnes.

James enjoyed being a tech mechanic and he could fix anything. He loved building and racing cars, he loved riding motorcycles, playing his guitar, and singing. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish is memory are his wife of 39 years, Janice Allien Nichols, his son, Chad Nichols (Ayah), of Kingwood, Tx., his daughter, Heather Maness (Dylan), of Conroe Tx., his grandchildren; Adam, Devin, Jack, Olivia, and Zoey Maness, all of Conroe, Tx., Alanah Nichols of Kingwood Tx., and his aunt Myrna Nichols, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Cemetery is located on the Rosefield Rd., off of Hwy 165 in Olla. The Rosefield Rd., is in-between the Dollar General Store, and Terry's Glass.
