James Henry Fletcher was born on November 08, 1949, to the union of his parents in Coushatta, Louisiana. He went to his heavenly home on July 08, 2023. Mr. James was a special man of few words, however, if he favored you, he would tell you just what he thought about things and maybe even give you his opinion on the matter. He was known as the long-lost father to all during his time at The Haven Nursing Center. Mr. James enjoyed simple things like drinking cokes, cold beer, and occasionally the game of baseball, even though he said that was a rich man’s game. He was also a courageous man. He served his country two different times in the United States Army, where he received: the Army Commendation Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, a Marksman Badge with rifle (M-14), and Two Overseas Service Bars.
Mr. Fletcher will be missed by all those who knew him.
Burial services for James Henry Fletcher will be Friday, July 14, 2023, at the Northeast Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery, also known as The Home of The Brave.
