James Samuel Duke, Jr.

Funeral services for James Samuel Duke, Jr., age 52 of Columbia, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, with Bro. Eric Harriman officiating. Burial will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson, LA. The family will hold visitation prior to the service on Wednesday from 1 PM until 2 PM at the funeral home.

James Samuel Duke, Jr. was born November 3, 1969, in Monroe, Louisiana to the union of his parents, James Samuel Duke, Sr. and Betty Lou Quinn Duke, and he passed away July 17, 2022, in Columbia, LA. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ola Quinn and Curtis and Agnes Duke. James was a typical Southern boy who loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He proudly served his country as a member of the Louisiana National Guard. He had a passion for motorcycles and loved to ride as often as he could.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tammy Howington Duke; his daughter, Samantha Lauren Duke; and his parents, Betty and James Duke; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Bond, Deno Darden, Cody Bailes, Gunner Ruddell, Paul Duke, and Bo Russell.
