Funeral services for James H. “Pushman” “Bootie” Brown, age 73, of Columbia, will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 2, 2016 at New Life Church in Columbia with Pastor James Smith officiating. Interment will be held at Brownville Cemetery in Columbia. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia. James was born September 15, 1942 to the union of Grover and Onita Brown in Columbia and he passed from this life on June 23, 2016 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. Pushman loved to drive his big trucks and he loved everybody. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Sadie Eggins, Gloria Dean Gray, and Mary Jo; brother: Jimmy Lee France. He is survived by his wife of 21 years: Geraldine Brown of Columbia; sons: James Thomas of Columbia, Gary Thomas of Columbia, and Dan Thomas and his wife Ruth of Kelly; daughters: Courtney Tatum and wife Amy of Michigan, Lekesia Thomas and her husband Eric Rodriguez of Columbia, Vickie Tugger and her companion Steve Martin of Monroe, Theresa Nijar and her husband Lazi of California, and Joliza Butler of Columbia; brothers: Bosie Starks of Columbia, Larry V. France of California, and James E. France of Washington; sisters: Betty Sue Hearn of Columbia; Willie Nell Johnson of Winnsboro, Joann Starks of Winnsboro, and Angie Mae of Winnsboro; grandchildren: Dimitrice and Dewayne, Jacolbi, Shawndi, Lexi, Liyah, Mya, Katelyn, Austin, EricJr., Karli, Ericia, Lay Lay, Jeremiah, Deontay, Kayela, and Alaysia. Pallbearers will be James Thomas, Dan Thomas, Eric Rodriguez, Jacolbi Tugger, Shawnderrick Scott, Patrick Jackson, Steven Martin, and Tony Gray.
