Ivah P Lizenby

Funeral services for Ivah P. Lizenby, age 100 years will be held  2:00 PM, Monday, November 27, 2023, from the sanctuary of Boeuf River Worship Center. The Lizenby Family will host visitation on Monday, November 27, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the church. Interment will follow in the Woolen Lake Cemetery under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Ivah Lizenby was born at Woodlawn, Virginia, on July 15, 1923, to the union of her parents, the late Guy Morgan Burcham and Ora Maude Williams. She passed from this life on Friday, November 24, 2023, at her residence at Grayson.

Mrs. Lizenby was preceded in death by her parents; by her beloved husband, Morris "Bud" Lizenby; her son, Charles Ray Lizenby; two sisters, Melva Lou East and Edna Kalstrom; two brothers, Clyde Burcham and Carl Burcham; and a grandson, Cole Drummond. Mrs. Lizenby was a member of the Boeuf River Worship Center, formerly known as Woolen Lake Church of God. She was very active in her church as long as her health permitted. She loved to donate to the children of St. Judes Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee and always loved to get the pictures of the children she was helping. She was an avid reader and loved to keep up with the news in the newspapers. One of her other great loves was gardening.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are her daughter, Donna Nelson (Bryan) of Grayson; son, Morris Lizenby (Susie) of Columbia; Brother, Boyd Burcham; her beloved grandchildren: Joseph Lizenby, J. D. Lizenby, Delbert Spangler, Tara Autrey, Benji Lee, Justin Lee and Jeremy Lee; as well as, a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be  Jordie Duchesne, Jonathan Housley, Jeremy Lee, Cole Lee, Cameron Lee and Benji Lee.
