Isom Strange

Funeral services for Isom E. Strange, age 41, of Columbia will be held 10 am Thursday August 16, 2012 from the sanctuary of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, west of Columbia; with Rev. C.R. Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening at Riser Funeral Home from 4pm until 8pm, and on Thursday at the church, from 9am until time of service. Isom Eugene Strange was born on May 14, 1968 at Columbia, LA to the union of his parents Josiah Strange, Jr and Melba Ray Grant Strange. He passed from this life on Monday August 13, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his brother Morris Grant, and by his grandparents Josiah Strange, Sr. and Laura Rawls Strange, and Ray Grant and Carmen Duck Grant. Survivors include his parents, Joe and Melba Strange,of Columbia; his sister-in-law, Lynn Fore Grant of Flower Mound, TX, and a number of aunts, uncles, extended family and friends. Pallbearers include Carl Cornwell, Kevin Mullenix, Chris Wheeler, Kenneth Young, Andy Hodges, Chance Baum, Ryan Sparks, Eric Varnell, and Lynn Brister.
