Isaac "Ike" McClanahan

Funeral services for Isaac "Ike" McClanahan, age 76 of Columbia, will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from the sanctuary of Bethany Baptist Church with Bro. Brian Rankin and Bro. Billy Lane McClanahan officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, May 5, 2014 at Bethany Baptist Church begining at 5 PM. Mr. McClanahan was born on April 28, 1938 in Columbia, LA to the union of his parents, Ruby Berlon and Annie Hall McClanahan and passed unexpectedly on Monday, May 5, 2014. He worked and retired as a farmer in Caldwell Parish. He enjoyed gardening and generously shared his produce with neighbors and friends. He was a generous man with his time, effort, energy and love. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Kennon McClanahan and three sisters: Laura Bell Pardue, Anna Valoise Goins and Ouida McClanahan. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Godwin McClanahan of Columbia; sons: Billy Lane McClanahan and wife, Vernessa of Hebert, Robin McClanahan of Columbia; daughters: Shirley Faye Hall and husband, Bill of Big Ridge; stepsons: Dallas Evans of Hebert, Dave Cobb and wife Glenda of Hebert and Blaine Cobb and wife, Rose of Columbia; step-daughter, Penny Williams and husband, Dave of Hebert; brothers: R.B. McClanahan, G.W. McClanahan and wife, Linda and Dan McClanahan all of Hebert; sisters: Margie Roberts of Columbia, Edna Godwin and husband, James of Columbia, Gwen Brown of Columbia, Maxine Duchesne of Columbia and Vera Wood of Monroe; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Dave Cobb, Matt Cobb, Danny White, Justin Hall, John Hall, Ruben McClanahan, Blaine Cobb, Courtney Dunn and Derek McClanahan. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason McClanahan and Dave Williams.
