Herbert Steen

Funeral services for Herbert W. Steen, age 69 of Olla, LA, will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, October 31, 2012 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla, LA with Bro. Shannon Lemons officiating. Interment will follow at Chickasaw Cemetery in Olla, LA. Visitation will be Wednesday at Riser Funeral Home in Olla from 1 PM until time of service. Mr. Steen was born on January 31, 1943 in Olla, LA to the union of Delbert Steen and Mildred Howard Steen and passed from this life on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at his residence. He worked in the oilfield and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Carol Steen. Survivors include his son, Wayne Steen and wife, Felecia of Olla; daughter, Jessica Hensley and husband, Aaron of Denver, CO; two sisters: Elsie Constance and husband, Tommy and Betty McCartney and husband, Bobby all of Olla; six grandchildren: Misty Steen, Carolyn Steen, Derek Steen, Rebecca Hensley, Sarah Hensley and Zoe Hensley and three great-grandchildren: Miracle Green, Derek Steen, Jr. and Cheyann Steen. Pallbearers will be Bobby McCartney, Brad McCartney, Buddy Constance, Mike Haynes, Scotty Poole and Sonny Scroggins.
