Funeral Services for Mr. Henry Clarence Randolph, 92, of Alexandria and formerly of Baton Rouge, will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 20, 2010, in the chapel of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia with Rev. Harold "Bubba" Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in Welcome Home Cemetery of Grayson. Visitation will be on Friday, February 19 from 5pm to 9pm in the funeral home and from 8am until time of services in the chapel on Saturday. Mr. Randolph was born in Lafayette on September 5, 1917, to the union of Henry Clarence and Emma Roxalie Ackerman Randolph and passed from this life on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 in the Regency House of Alexandria. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was an aerospace engineer having worked for NASA as well as other companies. Mr. Randolph was instrumental in the design of the C-130 cargo plane. Later in life, he was a fraud investigator for workman's compensation. He is preceded in death by his parents as well as sister, Meta Wagner; brothers, Ward Randolph, Earl Randolph, and Norman Randolph. Those left to cherish Mr. Randolph are his wife, Mrs. Marie Allen Randolph of Alexandria; Sisters, Dorothy Amarta and husband Tommy of Lafayette, Alicia Schoeffler and husband Paul of Baton Rouge; Brother, Elwood Randolph and wife Ramona of California; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be George Wilson, Caleb Tucker, Zeb Tucker, Gary Richardson, Glen Richardson, Jacob Gentry, and Peyton Foster.
